Portable MP3 players have become very popular as they are very small and hold lots of music, this makes them very easy to use and they are look cool. MP3 players have also become much cheaper recently and it is easy to find cheap MP3 players online, the cheap MP3 players usually have smaller storage space available but there are cheap deals on the better MP3 players too so have a good shop around to find the best cheap MP3 players. The amount of storage space that an MP3 player has is directly proportional to the amount of songs that the MP3 player can hold, the more storage space it has the more songs it will be able to hold but remember that the size of the song also has an effect on how many songs you can store. Cheap MP3 players such as 128MB, 256MB and 512MB MP3 players can only hold a small amount of songs, for instance a 512MB MP3 player will be able to hold around 120 average sized songs so a 256MB MP3 player will be able to hold around 60 songs and so on. The really large MP3 players with hard drives can hold many more songs with the huge 60GB MP3 players being able to hold more than 15,000 songs, we believe this is over the top and will be very hard to fill although some MP3 players do store other files such as photos and video so this space can be useful for these.
There are many brands that make MP3 players and they vary allot in storage capacity, most of the cheap MP3 players are from brands such as iRiver, Rio, Napa and others and these still offer cool features and good sound quality, it is the storage space that has the biggest effect on the price. Brands such as Apple (Ipods), Sony, Creative, Samsung and Philips offer a wide range of MP3 players so they offer cheap MP3 players and also offer MP3 players with large hard drives, for example Apple offer the Ipod Shuffle which is quite cheap and offers small storage space and Apple also offer the large Ipods as well as several mid range Ipods so with these brands there is lots of choice.
