When it comes to car toys some of the most fun have to be the Scalextric
race track toys as they allow the children to actually race the cars on a
great circuit.
There are lots of Scalextric sets and so there is a huge choice of different
cars and racing styles. There are lots of racing cars such as rally cars, Formula
1 cars, GT cars and many others. The rally sets is brilliant as the cars are
four wheel drive and so stay on the track better and this is a major bonus
as you will be aware of how the cars can fly of the track on the corners!
The Scalextric digital sets are also excellent as they have digital controls
which makes things far more accurate and much less likely to cut out which
could often happen with the old style Scalextric controllers. And the digital
sets also often have lane changing which is a huge amount of fun as you can
actually overtake cars on the same track.
There are also lots of special Scalextric sets such as the Simpsons and Transformers
sets. The Simpsons set is great as it has Homer and Bart on a skateboard each
and it even has a great hill and so is allot of fun. The Transformers set is
also brilliant as the cars transform and also feature popular characters from
the the movie such as Bumblebee and Barricade.
The prices vary quite allot for the Scalextric sets with some being very cheap
and great for basic fun and others being very advanced and costing quite allot.
